In that case all installation and configuration files are also on this one memory card. If you would like to replace this memory card by a bigger memory card these files and configurations should be copied also. In this tutorial we would like to explain how to do this.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to copy (clone) the \u201cpartition\u201d to the PC harddrive as one file. After that, the created file should be restored to the new memory card and the \u201cpartition\u201d needs to be extended. When you start the program HDDRawCopyTool you will see the following image. In this program we select the right source: \u201cGeneric USB SD Reader\u201d. Now proceed by pressing \u201cContinue\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 1.2: Select Destination<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hddrawcopy21.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-20\" title=\"hddrawcopy2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hddrawcopy21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Next you press 2 times on \u201cDouble-click to open file\u201d. Here we point out that you\u2019re going to clone the original SDCard to a single file on the harddrive of your computer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 1.3: Select File<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hddrawcopy31.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-24\" title=\"hddrawcopy3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hddrawcopy31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Now you can enter a filename and location for the temporary file on the harddrive. In this example, \u201cdesktop\u201d is used as location and \u201cmijnoudesdcard\u201d as filename. U will notice this by the green progress bar and the comment \u201c100% complete\u201d. The copy of the SD Card is now ready and u can exit HDDRawCopyTool by pressing the red cross.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 2.1: Transfer the copy<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-37\" title=\"hdd1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Now you can insert the new SD Card into the cardreader. Next you can start the program HDDRawCopyTool again. You will see the following screen. Here you can select \u201cFile\u201d by double clicking on this with the left mouse button. The program will now copy the file that we created in step 1 to the new SD Card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 2.2: Select File<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd21.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-40\" title=\"hdd2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Now you can select the file that you have created in step 1.3 . In the example this file is \u201cmijnoudesdcard.imgc\u201d located on the \u201cdesktop\u201d. You can select this file and press \u201copen\u201d or you can double click on the file with the left mouse button.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 2.3: Select Destination<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd31.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-43\" title=\"hdd3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hdd31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Next you can select the destination. In the example \u201cFile\u201d is selected by default. In our example the original size was 512mb. In our example the size of the new SD Card is 8Gb. Next you have to extend the \u201cpartition\u201d of 512mb to 8GB. You can now start the program MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition. You will see a drive letter (in the example \u201cJ:\u201d) as 512mb and next to it 6.9GB \u201cUnallocated\u201d. That is how we recorgnize our new cloned SD Card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 3.2: Extend Partition<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-63\" title=\"pw2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw2.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw2-300x238.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw2-1024x812.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw2.jpg 1037w\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Next you can extend the partition by hovering above it and select \u201cextend\u201d with your right mouse button.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 3.3: Set Size<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-66\" title=\"pw3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>Next you can select the new size by moving the slider. With smartphones it\u2019s better to use the entire SD Card so the slider can be put to maximum. Below you can see the size of 488.39mb will be adjusted to 7.40Gb. That\u2019s our goal. You can proceed by clicking \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title entry-title-single\">Step 3.4: Check Settings<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-69\" title=\"pw4\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw4.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw4-300x238.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw4-1024x812.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.clonemysdcard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/pw4.jpg 1037w\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a>In the next screen your will see that drive letter \u201cJ:\u201d now is 7.4Gb instead of 512mb of the original SD Card. At this point nothing is changed YET.
